29 de sept. de 2020 · John Mark Hall (known internationally as “Big John Hall”), of Colleyville, TX passed away on Tuesday September 29th in Grapevine, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend, to all that knew and loved him. He was born on February 7, 1939 in Fort Worth, TX to Rev. Walter Webster Hall and Rev. Lennie May Hall.
Biographical. John Lewis Hall (known by many as Jan) was born on August 21, 1934 in Denver, Colorado. His father (John Ernest Hall) was trained as an electrical engineer and worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation on many hydroelectric projects here and overseas. His mother, Rae (Long) Hall was an elementary school teacher and singer.
He studied mathematics at Cambridge University ( B.A. & M.A. ), and holds an M.A. in Operational Research from Lancaster University and a Ph.D. in Finance from Cranfield University. In 1999, he was awarded the Financial Engineer of the Year Award, by the International Association of Financial Engineers.
