John Lennon shaved his beard sometime after the Live Peace In Toronto concert in September 1969 and before filming the promotional video for the song “Something” in October 1969. He cut his hair for charity in January 1970 right before the Instant Karma video.
Nay, I think he looked the coolest in 1966. Hard agree, I love how Lennon a lot of the time but he definitely looked the best in 1965/66. I'll go with John, who cut that beard then never had another one. While he may never have had a beard of the length he had in 1969, he definitely grew beards at times during the 70's.
