About 1619, Rolfe married Jane Pierce, daughter of English colonist Captain William Pierce, who had survived the shipwreck of the Sea Venture along with John in 1609. They had a daughter, Elizabeth, in 1620, who married John Milner of Nansemond, Virginia, and died in 1635. Rolfe died in 1622.

25 de sept. de 2018 · In 1620, Rolfe married Jane Pierce, the daughter of Captain William Pierce, and they had a daughter named Elizabeth. In 1621, the Virginia colony began actively raising funds for the College of Henricus, a boarding school for young Native Americans to train them to become more English.
Rolf and Pierce had been friends since the shipwreck and in 1619, Rolfe married Pierce's only daughter Jane (Joane). John and Joan Rolfe welcomed daughter Elizabeth Rolfe on January 25, 1620/21. On March 10, 1622, being sick and fearing his death was imminent, John Rolfe wrote his last will and testament.
18 de abr. de 2024 · Rolfe returned to Virginia and married again (to one Jane Pierce), and in 1621 he was appointed to the colony’s Council of State. (He previously had served as secretary and recorder of the colony.) In 1622, during a massacre, his large farm at Bermuda Hundred was destroyed and Rolfe apparently perished.
