She released her final studio album in 1969, but achieved continuing success playing the female starring role of nurse Dixie McCall in the television series Emergency! (1972–1979), in which she acted with her husband Bobby Troup. The show was produced by her ex-husband Jack Webb.
Emergency!: Created by Robert A. Cinader, Harold Jack Bloom. With Randolph Mantooth, Kevin Tighe, Julie London, Bobby Troup. The crew of Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 51, particularly the paramedic team, and Rampart Hospital respond to emergencies in their operating area.

Emergency! was a third-generation spin-off, having been spawned from Jack Webb's Adam-12, which itself was spun off from Jack Webb's Dragnet. All three series take place in the same universe and depict different aspects of the public safety infrastructure of Los Angeles, California. Characters from Emergency! and Adam-12 "crossed over" twice.

11 de abr. de 2024 · Out of everyone, Bobby Troup and Julie London’s dual talents are quite impressive. Who was your favorite actor in this literally life-saving show? Did you ever watch the animated Emergency! series? Is this the best work of Jack Webb, or does that go to Dragnet or Adam-12?
Later in the 1971–72 season, Webb and Cinader launched Emergency!, which focused on the fictional Station 51 Rescue Squad of the L.A. County Fire Department, and its work in coordination with the emergency department staff of the fictional Rampart General Hospital.

By JEFF WILSON. .c The Associated Press. LOS ANGELES (AP) - Julie London, the smoky-voiced ``Cry Me A River'' nightclub singer who played TV nurse Dixie McCall on the old ``Emergency!'' series, died Wednesday. She was 74. London had been in poor health since suffering a stroke five years ago.
