The Junkers Ju 88 is a German World War II Luftwaffe twin-engined multirole combat aircraft. Junkers Aircraft and Motor Works (JFM) designed the plane in the mid-1930s as a so-called Schnellbomber ("fast bomber") that would be too fast for fighters of its era to intercept.

A modern design in the days preceding the war, it was intended to become the primary medium bomber in Luftwaffe service.

Del Ju 88 S derivó el Ju 88T, para misiones de reconocimiento. De las series H, S y T se fabricaron un total de 550 aparatos. Del Ju 88A se desazrrolló el C, bombardero pesado, con un motor BMW 801A, que derivó finalmente en el caza nocturno Ju 88G.
