This medicine can be applied numerous ways, including via the popular GTN spray, and is used for both short- and long-term pain relief. Once inside the body, this chemical is converted into nitric oxide, which assists in making one’s veins and arteries relax and widen.
Nitroglycerin's base is glycerin, a thick liquid (at room temperature) that is stable and won't evaporate much. It might lose some water and become more viscous, but not by much.
