Yes I think Jasper Tudor would sensibly wait to consummate their marriage. I love the idea of a religious spy network that is headed by a pious Margaret Beaufort — perhaps this increases her religious and political influence during Henry VII’s reign, as well as influencing later spymasters in thé Tudor era (e.g. Francis Walsingham).

Well, Margaret Tudor’s status as Queen of Scotland was never really able to affect things in England, despite being much closer. I don’t see Charles invading England, no matter what. He’s got enough to worry about. I don’t see Henry allowing his sister to tell him what to do with his wife or daughter.
