Hace 2 días · On 28 January 1457, his widow Margaret, who was only 13 at the time, gave birth to a son, Henry Tudor, at her brother-in-law's residence at Pembroke Castle. Henry Tudor, the future Henry VII, spent his childhood at Raglan Castle, the home of Lord Herbert, a leading Yorkist.

Margaret was the daughter of Margaret Tudor and Archibald Douglas. On the orders of the queen Mary’s new favorite also slept in a room decorated with purple velvet and gold cloth of the sovereign of England. The monarch gifted her some lands belonging the crown as well. Margaret was a sound choice to replace Elizabeth.
