The game combines the elements of the two popular video games: the platforming Super Mario Bros and the puzzle solving Portal. The game retains the traditional platforming gameplay of the Mario franchise but features new elements based on Portal. The game also has a lot of challenging platforming puzzles that will leave you scratching your head.

Map packs are custom maps made for the game, there are 2 map packs available in the game by default, the original map from the game and a portal gun map where you need to use the portal gun to pass through interesting puzzles and obstacles.
