Marquess of Anglesey is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1815 for Henry Paget, 2nd Earl of Uxbridge , a hero of the Battle of Waterloo , second in command to the Duke of Wellington.

Plas Newydd, home to the Marquess of Anglesey. Set on the shores of the Menai Strait amidst breathtakingly beautiful scenery, Plas Newydd is the home of GeoMôn’s patron. A house is said to have been in existence on the site since the 13th century known as Llwyn-y-Moel.
He gave his Anglesey home, Plas Newydd, to the National Trust in 1976, although he and his wife continued to live in a suite on the upper floor; with 169 acres of the surrounding estate. The house has been open to the public since 1 July of that year. Lord Anglesey died, aged 90, on 13 July 2013.
