Scorsese, speaking English in an otherwise Japanese-language film, plays Vincent Van Gogh in “Crows,” one of of the film’s eight vignettes.

As Ugetsu said, it would be great to hear what your conclusions are after you have watched some Kurosawa films and compared them to Scorsese’s work. 19 November 2011. link.
