  1. These courses are available for new students, those who wish to become students, or those who simply want to improve their English language skills in their professional and personal lives. There are three learning options noted below.

  2. Faculty members provide instruction and guidance through a variety of tools available in Massasoits learning management system: online discussions, video lectures, quizzes, and assignments. Online courses have equivalent requirements and outcomes as traditional classroom-based courses.

  3. Massasoit Community College offers a series of ESOL courses in Brockton, MA. Our courses are designed for adult students with varying levels of English-speaking ability – from those that speak very little English to those that are conversational and want to master the language.

  4. English. Educational and career success depends on clarity of written expression, the ability to analyze texts, and the language of others. English Department faculty encourage and support students in their efforts to develop and refine these abilities.

  5. The Massasoit Community English as a Second Language (ESOL) Program is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The program addresses the needs of adult learners from other countries to gain English proficiency from Beginner to Advanced levels.

  6. Course Search. Massasoit offers courses in a variety of convenient formats to fit your schedule. These include on-campus, online, and hybrid course offerings, as well as fall, spring, summer, winter, and accelerated terms and semesters!

  7. If you are interested in taking an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) placement test (and have not yet taken a placement test), please register online through the Testing and Assessment Office Academic ESOL Testing page or call 508-588-9100 x1991 or 1992.
