In this game, Mortimer must discover and find eight missing magical jewels from the king's crown. Once he places items where they belong, he will receive a piece of the jewel. One he finds all the pieces, he will place the jewel on the crown.
Opening
The opening cutscene starts off where the previous game left off. Mortimer awakens from a forest and meets a creature named Grongh. Grongh tells him that he is in the great kingdom of Zantya. Mortimer asks how he got there. Grongh tells him to be patient and listen. He explains that Zantya was once a wonderful kingdom and that their good king rolled the land of righteousness.
