3 de may. de 2024 · Hastings Castle was the first Norman motte and bailey castle built in England, shortly before the Norman conquest of 1066. It’s one of the oldest castles in East Sussex. The original castle had a wooden tower that was rebuilt in stone at the end of the 11th century.
