3 de abr. de 2024 · Darnley and his bunch of noble pals burst into Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, restrained Mary and watched on as Rizzio was stabbed 57 times. Darnley’s life ended on the night of 10 February 1567 when a deadly explosion destroyed their Scottish house and killed him, but left Mary unharmed.

Hace 4 días · The castle was built in the 15th century, and it played an important part in the story of Mary Queen of Scots who fled to Craigmillar Castle following the murder of Rizzio. It was in this very castle that the plot to murder Mary’s husband, Lord Darnley, was devised.
