21 de ago. de 2023 · Nancy Sinatra's success with the release of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" in 1966 coincided with the ramping up of the Vietnam War — and her popularity only grew that same year as US troops stationed in the country rose to 400,000.

A Google Image Search for “Nancy Sinatra Vietnam” turns up a photo of the singer in a bikini sitting on a pile of boots, suggesting the limits of using the song in feminist hagiography.
