Northfield Mount Hermon is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory school in western Massachusetts, with approximately 635 boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12, plus a postgraduate year. NMH employs approximately 130 people in teaching and administrative faculty positions and more than 160 in staff positions.

In 1971, Northfield and Mount Hermon became a single coeducational school on two campuses. In 2004, the NMH Board of Trustees voted to consolidate the school’s educational program on the Mount Hermon campus, creating a more cohesive learning environment, reducing operating costs, increasing the resources available to students, and allowing significant investment in facilities.
Northfield Mount Hermon School, commonly referred to as NMH, is a co-educational college-preparatory school for both boarding and day students in grades 9–12 and postgraduates. An NMH education is rigorous, relevant, and taught by faculty who happily devote an extraordinary amount of time and energy to fostering their students’ success.
18 de abr. de 2024 · Poor. 8. Terrible. 11. Great teachers. A lot of racial/ethnic diversity–not a lot of economic diversity. There's a big social gap between day students and boarding students. The school has struggled with racism and drug use. Many question the priorities of the administration.
