The Phantasm plugin has halftones inbuilt into the settings manager with pre-defined defaults you can try instantly. Recycle some of you artwork and images by adding 100% vector halftone effects. Mess around with all the settings in the Phantasm panel and remember it’s a live effect, so you can easily turn it off and on in the Appearance pane and go back in and adjust settings.

Use phantasm daily for halftones - I work at a t-shirt printing company and this plugin is a lifesaver. Really disappointed that they transitioned into a subscription service, though. I don't want to pay $119 a year for a bunch of extra plugins I'm not going to use. Been running CC2019 alongside 2020 just so I can use phantasm, which is not ideal.
Where to find them: The Phantasm Panel which has all of the options above, as Live Effect sliders or buttons, can be found in the main menu under Window > Astute Graphics > Phantasm.
