Hegel’s method aims to give the sciences a form of generality that does not exhibit the shortcomings of abstraction, by transforming the “unconceptualized concept” of the understanding into an explicitly “conceptualized” one of reason (SL 12.40, 45/537, 542).
Idea over nature in respect to the four points stated above, while focussing on: i) the moment of independence and autonomy ascribed to nature in Hegel’s sys-tem; ii) the reshaping of the role of contingency; and, more specifically, iii) the reconceiving of the arrangement of the solar system in his Philosophy of Nature.
