7 de sept. de 2023 · (Jerusalem post) Quarter To Africa (Q2A) is an uplifting Middle Eastern AfroFunk ensemble. Combining electric oud grooves, saxophone, trumpet, African percussion, guitar, bass, drums, synthesizer and vocals.
"Quarter To Africa" is a multi-cultural roots ensemble. Their music creates an uplifting collage, fusing traditional Arabic “makam" scales and African rhythms with jazz and funk.
On 18 May 2019, the Idan Raichel Project played at the Grand Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. A year later, in 2020, he cowrote, with Doron Medalie, the song "Feker Libi", recorded by Eden Alene. The song was to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020; the event was cancelled, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
