Little Red Riding Hood is a European fairy tale about a young girl and a sly wolf. Its origins can be traced back to several pre-17th-century European folk tales. The two best known versions were written by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm.
Once she gave her a little cap of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never wear anything else. So she was always called Little Red Riding Hood. One day her mother said to her, "Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine. Take them to your grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they will do her good.
‘Little Red Riding Hood’ is a fairy tale about a young girl who wears a red cloak and encounters a wolf on her way to visit her ailing grandmother. Depending on the version of the story, the girl is either eaten by the wolf or saved by a woodsman or hunter.
