I don't hate Rick Berman like many do. He was the Star Trek shepherd for almost 20 years in which he gave us, along with others, 4 TV shows & 4 movies. The decline in quality in the later years should not be attributed to him alone.
In 2005, Berman was involved in developing an eleventh Star Trek movie based on a script written by Erik Jendresen. However, when Gail Berman (no relation) took over as president of Paramount Pictures, Jendresen's script was shelved. [22]
