Ruth Berlau (24 August 1906, Charlottenlund – 15 January 1974, East Berlin) was a Danish actress, director, photographer and writer, known for her collaboration with Bertolt Brecht and for founding the Bertolt-Brecht-Archiv in Berlin.

Ruth Berlau nació el 24 de agosto de 1906 cerca de Copenhague. De adolescente hizo viajes en bicicleta a París y a la Unión Soviética, para después hacerse miembro del Partido Comunista Danés. Como actriz se hizo famosa en el papel de Anna en Tambores en la noche , de Bertolt Brecht.

Ruth Berlau was a Danish actress, director, photographer and writer, known for her collaboration with Bertolt Brecht and for founding the Bertolt-Brecht-Archiv in Berlin. Born to a merchant family, she learned French at a convent school but had to drop out due to a pregnancy at the age of thirteen.
