ABT’s National Training Curriculum is a program for the development and training of young students that embraces sound ballet principles and incorporates elements of the French, Italian and Russian schools of training.
During the winter term, students are divided into levels based on their age and abilities. Preparatory Division, for students aged 6–7 who are new to ballet. The Pre-Professional Division of the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School is a ballet training program for students, ages 12-17. Under the direction of Acting Artistic Director Stella Abrera, students thrive in an elite atmosphere dedicated to the success of each student. Admission is by audition only.
