In an added twist, Julian Glover — the man wielding 007’s go-to pistol — was the main antagonist of the 1981 James Bond film, For Your Eyes Only , opposite Roger Moore.
Connery looks old in DAF but at least he looks like in his late 40's/early 50's. Roger looked closer to mid-60's in AVTK. I will say however that Roger did look really young, much younger than his real age, by the time he started his tenure with LALD. When I read that he was actually older than Sean, my mind was blown!
