The House of Wettin (German: Haus Wettin) was a dynasty of German kings, prince-electors, dukes, and counts that once ruled territories in the present-day German states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The dynasty is one of the oldest in Europe, and its origins can be traced back to the town of Wettin, Saxony-Anhalt.

In October of 1979 Somerset Belenoff was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II to represent the House of Windsor, and by extension the United Kingdom, on the Wettin World Governing Council. At 26 years of age, she was the youngest delegate to sit on the Council, but she would soon become a an unstoppable force for DEVASTATION within that governing body.
