The Magic Kingdom version of Splash Mountain closed on January 23, 2023, while the Disneyland version closed on May 31, 2023. The new ride, which is titled Tiana's Bayou Adventure , is scheduled to open on June 28, 2024 at Magic Kingdom and later in 2024 at Disneyland.

Splash Mountain is Disneyland's water ride: a half-mile trip with five drops ending in a final, 52-foot-tall, 45-degree, 40-mile-per-hour plunge. It was inspired by the 1946 animated film "Song of the South," which was based on the Uncle Remus tales that go back to the late 1800s.
