Steppenwolf was a Canadian-American rock band that was prominent from 1968 to 1972. The group was formed in late 1967 in Los Angeles by lead singer John Kay, keyboardist Goldy McJohn, and drummer Jerry Edmonton, all formerly of the Canadian band the Sparrows.

29 de jul. de 2020 · Things really caught fire when the third single from it, Born To Be Wild, was released in the summer and the band got airplay on AM radio. From then on, “we were busy boys”. Born To Be Wild, Steppenwolf’s most enduring hit, was written by the mysterious Mars Bonfire.
