While you might be able to figure out how to view 8mm film without a projector , to view Super 8 film the traditional way, you need an old film projector.

Super8 movie post-production - Noise reduction. Discussion. I've been asked to post produce a short movie shot on Super 8 film. The production sound has been recorded digitally using boom mic and lavs, so the Super 8 camera sound is always clearly audible, but of course is quite soft on distant shots and very loud on closer shots.
