    Statistics Canada collects demographic information every five years when it conducts its Census. The City analyzes the census data to better understand how Surrey is growing and changing. Drawing from this work, the City develops community specific profiles, along with a citywide profile that shows how the City compares to Metro Vancouver averages....

    Each profile includes community-specific data on population, family make-up, immigration, Indigenous population, housing, income, education, labour force participation, and journey to work. A Surrey-wide profile is also available to view.
