Shakespeare signed his last will and testament on 25 March 1616; the following day, Thomas Quiney, his new son-in-law, was found guilty of fathering an illegitimate son by Margaret Wheeler, both of whom had died during childbirth.

Susanna was known to be witty above her sex. Her daughter Elizabeth died without issue, so there are no direct descendants from that line. Then Anne Hathaway had twins, Hamnet and Judith, in 1585.
Hace 5 días · The next date of interest is found in the records of the Stratford church, where a daughter, named Susanna, born to William Shakespeare, was baptized on May 26, 1583. On February 2, 1585, twins were baptized, Hamnet and Judith. (Hamnet, Shakespeare’s only son, died 11 years later.)

Hace 6 días · Apart from the reference in the will to the Blackfriars Gatehouse, “wherein one John Robinson dwelleth scituat,” it is noteworthy that Shakespeare bequeathed his property to his daughter, Susanna, who had been fined for her Catholic recusancy in 1606.
