Sverdlovsk Oblast (Russian: Свердловская область, romanized: Sverdlovskaya oblast') is a federal subject (an oblast) of Russia located in the Ural Federal District. Its administrative center is the city of Yekaterinburg, formerly known as Sverdlovsk.
