A swordfish is a type of food that is obtained by cooking a raw swordfish on a fire, stove or a range. Doing so requires a Cooking level of at least 45 and yields 140 Cooking experience. They are a relatively popular food source for training combat skills, largely due to the fact that they heal 14 Hitpoints when eaten, making them slightly better than lobsters.

Player will stop burning swordfish altogether once they reach level 86 Cooking, but Cooking gauntlets will stop swordfish from burning at level 81 Cooking. Swordfish are the best single-serving food in free-to-play worlds, beating lobsters by 2 points. It is the fastest way to gain health in free-to-play worlds if eaten with an anchovy pizza in one tick.

Swordfish can be sold to and purchased from Fionella on the 1st2nd floor[?] of the Legends' Guild and Alfonse the waiter in The Shrimp and Parrot restaurant in Brimhaven.

They can also be obtained as a reward for opening a Gourmet impling jar.

•Previously, the High Level Alchemy value of swordfish was 120. This was changed to 48 in an update on 20 September 2018.
