Imprimir ficha. Pierre Étienne Théodore Rousseau comenzó a pintar paisajes con apenas catorce años. Aconsejado por el primo de su madre, el paisajista Paul de Saint-Martin, en 1827 ingresó en el taller de Joseph Rémond, y en 1828 frecuentó a Guillaume Lethière, ambos pintores académicos.
