Cells are the structural, functional, and biological units of all living beings. A cell can replicate itself independently. Hence, they are known as the building blocks of life .
18 de jun. de 2023 · Alveoli also have immune cells in them (alveolar macrophages). These are like the garbage trucks of the immune system because they “eat” (phagocytize) debris. This includes any particles that are breathed in and make it to the alveoli, as well as dead cells and bacteria.

Some cells have a thick layer surrounding their cell. This layer is called the capsule and is found in bacteria cells. In our body there are many different kinds of cells.
All cells have a cell membrane that separates the inside and the outside of the cell, and controls what goes in and comes out. The cell membrane surrounds a cell’s cytoplasm, which is a jelly-like substance containing the cell’s parts. Cells contain parts called organelles. Each organelle carries out a specific function in the cell.

Each of these cells has a unique function and, together, they maintain homeostasis of the bone tissue via (the replacement of old bone tissue with new bone tissue). In doing so, they regulate the structure and function of bone tissue.
