In 1992 when the band temporarily disbanded, Trevor Steel went on to start a career as a songwriter and producer with his partner in the Escape Club, John Holliday. Based out of Air Studios in London, first under the production name ‘Bump and Grind’ and later as themselves, they wrote and produced many U.K. pop hits.
Red Broad Joined the Escape Club as their drummer in 2012 to work on their Celebrity album. He is a long-time friend of the band and has been playing drums with them ever since. The Escape Club are an English pop rock band that was formed in London in 1983. They are best known for their 1988 No. 1 US hit "Wild, Wild West" and for their top-ten 1991 hit "I'll Be There".
The Escape Club are back in London after a thirty year absence to play what has become their ‘cult’ first album, ‘ White Fields. Fresh from a tour of the USA in 2019, the band are converging from around the world to play at Nell’s in London on June 27 th 2020. Dave Sharp has kindly agreed to open as a very special guest.
