The Tall T is a 1957 American Western film directed by Budd Boetticher and starring Randolph Scott, Richard Boone, and Maureen O'Sullivan.Adapted by Burt Kennedy from the 1955 short story "The Captives" by Elmore Leonard, the film is about an independent former ranch foreman who is kidnapped along with an heiress, who is being held for ransom by three ruthless outlaws.

30 de mar. de 2021 · The movie was shot in July 1956, actually before the release of Seven Men, and was clearly a follow-up to it, though this time it was not a John Wayne production, and not for Warners. Harry Joe Brown produced it, with his partner Scott, and it was part of a deal with Columbia.
The Tall T was Leonard's first work to be made into a film. Although a July 1956 Hollywood Reporter news item places Michael Pate in the cast, he was not in the released film. A July 1956 Hollywood Reporter news item adds that location filming was done in Lone Pine, CA.
