17 de ene. de 2022 · The X Factor é um daqueles típicos trabalhos que exigem certa maturidade para se tornarem mais palatáveis. Os fãs mais juvenis do Maiden (inclusive, alguns que já passam da casa dos quarenta) e até mesmo a tal “mídia especializada” (na época) torceram, e ainda torcem o nariz para os trabalhos da era Bayley, os considerando fracos, medíocres e esquecíveis.
The X Factor was the beginning of a new era of Iron Maiden, with Blaze Bayley as frontman and vocalist. It also marks a rebirth of sorts, breathing new life and vitality into a band that was beginning to stagnate during the previous years with Dickinson .
It's hard to imagine an Iron Maiden album that would be greeted by the public more odiously than The X Factor. In some ways, this album is underestimated and misunderstood, but it is magnificent and a masterpiece. You just need to look at it a little wider and approach it without expecting to hear something in the usual manner.
