The relationships of Jessie from the Toy Story franchise.

    Woody

Woody and Jessie share a sibling-like relationship. Since meeting each other in Al's penthouse, the two share a close bond. The two are shown to have pretty heated arguments from time to time, but they deeply care for each other nonetheless. Jessie first meets Woody after being stolen from a yard sale by Al who introduces him to Stinky Pete. She, Bullseye, and the Prospector all begin to get along with the cowboy until he reveals that he needs to return home to his owner. This causes Jessie to dislike Woody as her claustrophobic fears begin to return, as her fear of being put back into storage begins to look like a possible outcome. For a while, both of the toys share strong dislike towards each other, and during the night Woody plans to escape, the television happens to turn on, waking Al, and Woody suspects Jessie of using the remote to turn on the T.V so she doesn’t have to go back into storage. Eventually, Jessie opens up to Woody about her past owner Emily and how she was abandoned by her owner. Her story makes Woody feel sympathy towards the cowgirl and her story is the reason he decides not to leave, making Jessie happy. They begin to form a strong friendship, and later convinced Jessie and Bullseye to go with him to Andy. However, several mishaps occur, which were caused by Stinky Pete, and Woody eventually saves Jessie from a plane bound to Japan. Over the years with Andy, Jessie and Woody begin to have a much more close relationship. But when Andy grows up and the toys assume they were thrown away, Jessie quickly decides to donate themselves to Sunnyside. This causes Jessie and Woody to yell at each other for a brief moment, and later when Woody leaves to return to Andy. She later regrets her decision after being controlled by Lotso and blames herself for Buzz's transformation to demo mode and presumably Woody's so-called death. Later, she is relieved to realize Woody is still alive and helps him plan for their escape from the daycare. When they return to Andy's house, Jessie and the others jump into a box and Woody worries for Jessie briefly, holding she’ll be okay in the attic (because of her claustrophobia). When Woody reunites with Bo Peep, he gives Jessie his Sheriff's badge as a form of a goodbye, their friendship, and her new position as Bonnie’s favorite toy. She says goodbye to Woody with a saddened look and then followed by a long and heartwarming hug. She and the others look towards Woody from the RV window as the Anderson's drive away.

    Bullseye

Both Bullseye and Jessie bonded when they were in storage for an unknown number of years. Since then, the two have been inseparable.

    Bo Peep

Bo Peep and Jessie are seen briefly together along with Woody and Buzz as the two couples listen from Andy's desk to Wheezy sing You've Got a Friend in Me. When Toy Story 2 came out, interviews with the various characters were posted on the official movie site. In one interview with Bo Peep, she was asked, "Are you worried about Woody's relationship with Jessie?" She replies: "There is nothing to worry about; me and Jessie are good friends. Woody and Jessie act like brother and sister more than anything else. Now it's not Woody, but a certain space toy who is head over heels for Jessie, but you didn't hear that from me." Their relationship was explored slightly in the fourth film. After her departure, it can be assumed she was saddened by her departure. During the film, Bo is excited to hear Jessie and the others are still together after all these years. At the end of the film, Buzz leads Jessie by hand along with the other toys on the RV awning as they walk towards Woody and Bo. She is both shocked and happy to see her again. As they both say each other's names, they happily embrace, and later say goodbye.

    Buzz Lightyear

Jessie's romantic feeling towards the space ranger has been heavily teased throughout the franchise. In Toy Story 2, Buzz walks up to Jessie on the bed as he struggles to compliment her yarn hair (by calling it a yarnful of hair). Flustered, he says that he must go, but Jessie grabs him and squeezes him tightly, calling him "the sweetest space toy she's ever met." Just then, the two overhear Buster whining towards the door and Slinky yells that Buster needs to leave for some "private time". Jessie, seeing an animal in need of help, runs over to Andy's nightstand, grabs a racecar, goes through the racetrack's loop, flies towards the doorknob, and lets Buster out. A shocked and impressed Buzz stares as his wings pop out. She is then seen leaning on Buzz as they listen to Wheezy's rendition of You've Got a Friend in Me. In Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, Buzz and Woody take notice of the art of him on the VHS tape. As Jessie walks over, Woody jokingly comments on how Buzz doesn't look that fat when they draw him that way, causing Jessie to giggle as Buzz looks in disdain, suggesting that Jessie likes making fun with Buzz. Their relationship is explored further in Toy Story 3. It's first seen when the gang begins to plan one final attempt at getting Andy to play with them in the toy chest. Jessie crawls towards Buzz and asks if he would mind her squeezing next to him, to which Buzz stutters that he wouldn't mind and then asks if it's hot in here, much to her enjoyment. After Sarge and his men acquire Andy's phone, Woody tells Buzz and Jessie to make the call. As Jessie uses Buzz's wrist communicator (which has Andy's phone number written in it), Buzz chuckles nervously suggesting that he feels nervous at times with Jessie. When Buzz is rebooted by Lotso and made to believe that Andy's toys are minions of Zurg, he imprisons them. Jessie, confused and shocked, pleads with Buzz through the basket she's entrapped in that they are his friends, touching his back. Buzz swats her hand away and tells the "temptress" to spare her lies and that their emperor is defeated. When he pushes in the basket, he walks away and tells the hurt cowgirl that he is immune to her "bewitching good looks". After Woody and the other toys accidentally reset Buzz to Spanish Mode, the space ranger becomes infatuated with Jessie. After the arrive by the slide, Jessie greets him flirtatiously, only for Buzz to get on his knees shocked, grab her by hand and proclaim (in Spanish) that he never has seen true beauty until this night, much to her confusion and surprise. Later, while Woody, Bullseye, and the Aliens attempt to sneak past Big Baby, the other toys hide in the bushes. Buzz suddenly grabs Jessie and begins to dance seductively towards her, much to the toys' shock and confusion. He soon spins the cowgirl and catches her in his arms, asking her to follow him to the wonders of the galaxy, where they will vanquish all evil with their love. As he gives her a dandelion, Jessie begins to warm up to him and smile. But the moment is interrupted when Woody and the others arrive into the bushes and Jessie happily embraces him, leaving Buzz to believe Woody as competition for Jessie's affection. When they reach the trash chute, Woody cannot reach it and asks Buzz for a lift, but Buzz simply swats him away, smugly presses his buttons (which say "Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!" in Spanish) for Jessie, then parkours onto the handle of the chute with the help of a mop, much to the group's impression and gratitude. When the toys are in the garbage truck, they scurry towards the wall as trash falls towards them, but Buzz calls for Jessie (or Senorita to Buzz), and the cowgirl yells for him as she's stuck under a pile of trash. He soon rescues her and the two sprint towards the toys when Buzz suddenly picks her up. The two begin to smile at each other romantically before Mrs. Potato Head tells them to watch out as a large TV falls towards them. Buzz then sacrifices himself and throws Jessie out of the way as he gets crushed by the TV. The toys frantically pull him out but find him unconscious. Jessie pops off his helmet and begins to shake him as she desperately calls out to him, but Buzz doesn't respond. She gives up and puts her head on his chest while she sobs, but Buzz soon sporadically manifests back to himself and smells the air, casually asking if the smell is coming from him. Jessie, overjoyed, hugs Buzz and repeatedly says that he's back while kissing his cheek, much to his confusion and surprise. When Lotso leaves the toys to die in the incinerator, Jessie desperately asks Buzz what do they do as the toys face the fire. Buzz then silently grabs her hand and the two look at each other. As the toys join each other hand in hand, Jessie and Buzz put their heads together and shut their eyes, when a claw comes swooping down to scoop the toys up, revealing them to be the Aliens. When they drop them outside, Jessie and Buzz rise up, still holding their hands together, and they smile at each other, both realizing their feelings for one another. Later, as they walk back home, Woody asks what will happen to them since Andy will put them in the attic, but Jessie simply states that they're Andy's toys, and Buzz (holding Jessie's hand) adds that they'll be there for him together. Back at Andy's room, the toys bid farewell to Woody when he reaches Jessie. He asks her if she'll be okay in the attic, to which Jessie confirms, and whispers that on the plus side, she knows about Buzz's Spanish Mode, still much to Buzz's confusion, causing the others to smile and chuckle. At the end of the film, Buzz attempts to fix Bonnie's home-made rocket when Jessie tells Bullseye to turn on Bonnie's radio, playing a flamenco dance. Buzz's lower body begins to uncontrollably dance and puts Jessie in his arms. He nervously chuckles that he doesn't know what came over him. But Jessie simply spins him around and catches him, telling him to just go with it, causing Buzz to smile at her. The two then seal their relationship by performing to the Spanish version of You've Got a Friend in Me while Bonnie's toys watch. In Hawaiian Vacation, Jessie wears a large flower on the right side of her head while in her Hawaiian outfit. In Hawaii, a woman wearing a flower on your head signifies your relationship: Right side for single, while left side for a relationship. Jessie wears it on her left side, further signifying her relationship with Buzz. In Small Fry, Jessie appears to be especially annoyed by Fun Meal Buzz Lightyear replacing the original Buzz and abandoning him at Poultry Palace. The next morning, the toys attempt to plan how to get inside to Poultry Palace while Jessie begrudgingly watches a tied-up Fun Meal Buzz. Unlike the original Buzz, this Buzz openly tries to flirt with Jessie, saying that he "used to work" at Poultry Palace and asks if she likes Honey Mustard sauce. When she looks at him in annoyance, Mini Buzz takes it as a confirmation to his question, causing her to groan and roll her eyes. Buzz then returns, where Jessie hugs him and says that he's back. In Toy Story of Terror!, the toys watch a horror movie on a laptop in the Anderson family's car trunk during a stormy night. When the car gets a flat, Jessie accidentally falls into a toolbox, triggering her claustrophobia. Buzz shows the most concern in getting her out and comforts her as she hyperventilates when getting out of the box. As Bonnie's mother pulls into a motel for help, Bonnie asks if she can bring her toys, causing the toys to scramble back to the suitcase while Buzz carries Jessie back. Throughout the special, Buzz (along with Woody) continue to comfort shaken Jessie as her fear gets the best of her. When Jessie is kidnapped by the motel owner's iguana, Mr. Jones, it turns out the motel manager, Ron, steals toys and sells them online to get money. When he throws Jessie into a glass cabinet, she's reunited with her captured friends. She picks up Buzz and embraces him, with Buzz saying he's so glad she's safe. When Jessie fights off Mr. Jones, Buzz unsuccessfully tries to pry open the glass doors in attempt to save her, but she uses her wits to defeat it. In the fourth film, though their relationship is not the main focus, the two seem to be comfortable with each other and work as a team to comfort Woody, who's going through an identity crisis. Throughout the film, they work together in getting Woody and Forky back to the RV. Buzz is shown leading Jessie by hand as the older toys reunite with Bo Peep. She's then seen putting her hand on an emotional Buzz's back as they watch Woody and Bo from the carousel.

    Stinky Pete

Jessie and Stinky Pete used to be good friends since they were in Woody's Roundup Gang. When Woody wanted to bring Jessie and Bullseye to Andy, Stinky Pete stopped them. Stinky Pete betrayed them since he wanted to go to Japan.

    Lotso-Huggin' Bear

Jessie hates Lotso. Lotso took control of her friend Buzz and made him turn against her. Jessie thinks that Lotso is a liar and bully.

  4. When Jessie fights Woody after he accuses her for turning on the TV, Jessie's position (pinning Woody on the ground, foot on his back, pulling his arms back) is the same as Buzz's when he fights Woody underneath Andy's car at the gas station in Toy Story.
