17 de abr. de 2024 · True Grit is, in fact, Mattie's story to tell. It was her father who was executed by Tom Chaney, and it is she who sets out to seek revenge. The 1969 version most likely made the narrative shift because they wanted to highlight Wayne as the star of the movie.
