26 de oct. de 2022 · David Stirling at the wheel of his Blitz Buggy, 1942 In December 1941, the new SAS unit proved its worth by raiding a German airfield at Sirte, Libya, and blowing up 24 aircrafts. In 15 months Stirling's forces put hundreds of enemy vehicles out of action and destroyed more than 250 aircraft on the ground, plus dozens of supply dumps, railways and telecommunications networks.
