Der Hochtaunuskreis ist eine Gebietskörperschaft mit 239.488 Einwohnern (31. Dezember 2022) im Regierungsbezirk Darmstadt in Hessen. Der Landkreis liegt in der Metropolregion Frankfurt/Rhein-Main und ist Teil der Stadtregion Frankfurt. Kreisstadt und zugleich bevölkerungsreichste Stadt ist Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe.
The Hochtaunuskreis is a Kreis in the middle of Hesse, Germany and is part of the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. Neighbouring districts are Lahn-Dill, Wetteraukreis, district-free Frankfurt, Main-Taunus, Rheingau-Taunus, Limburg-Weilburg.
Hochtaunus is located in southwestern Hesse. Bad Homburg is part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. The town's official name is Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe, which distinguishes it from other places named Homburg.
