The Church of St Mary Magdalene in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, is a parish church in the Church of England dedicated to Jesus' companion Mary Magdalene. The church is Grade II* listed as it is a particularly significant building of more than local interest.

Its focal point is the Church of St Mary Magdalene, next to the town's market square. The church was built by the Anglo-Saxons and completed after the Norman Conquest, though its medieval chancel, nave, north aisle and tower were much restored and enlarged in the Victorian period. [3]

St Mary Magdalene is the oldest of three parish churches in Hucknall. There is no mention of St Mary’s in Domesday Book, but there is a mention of a ‘Hochenale’, the Old English for Hucknall. The naming of Hucknall, or formerly Hucknall Torkard, gives an indication of the period in which the church was built.
