The America East men's basketball tournament, popularly known as the America East Playoffs, is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the America East Conference. The winner of the annual tournament gains an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship .

Each team is scheduled to play 18 conference games. Each team will play every team twice, once at home and once on the road.
Coach Changes
Albany hired Dwayne Killings after Will Brown left to become head coach and general manager of the Albany Patroons. Binghamton named Levell Sanders interim head coach after Tommy Dempsey'scontract was not renewed. UMBC hired Jim Ferry after Ryan Odom left to become the head coach at Utah State.

The top 8 teams from the America East qualify for the conference tournament. The higher seed host each game. The quarterfinals are on March 6th., semifinals are on March 9th, and finals are on March 12.
