Caerphilly ( / kəˈfɪli /, / kɑːrˈfɪli /; [2] Welsh: Caerffili, Welsh pronunciation: [ˌkairˈfɪlɪ] ⓘ [3]) is a town and community in Wales. It is situated at the southern end of the Rhymney Valley . It is 7 mi (11 km) north of Cardiff and 12 mi (19 km) northwest of Newport.
