Emma of Blois ( c. 950 – 27 December 1003) was Duchess consort of Aquitaine by marriage to William IV, Duke of Aquitaine. She ruled Aquitaine as regent for her son, William V, Duke of Aquitaine, from 996 until 1004. Life. She was the daughter of Theobald I, Count of Blois and Luitgarde of Vermandois. [1] .

Around 990, he retired to a monastery. During the course of her marriage, she founded the monastery of Saint Peter in Bourguei and the abbey of Maillezais.

Emma de Blois (née vers 948 ou vers 950, morte vers 1003 ou vers 1005) est une dame de la haute aristocratie de la France de l'Ouest de la seconde moitié du Xe siècle, fille du comte de Blois, Thibaud le Tricheur, devenue duchesse d'Aquitaine et comtesse de Poitiers par son mariage en 967 ou 968 avec Guillaume IV d'Aquitaine, dit Fier à Bras.
Durante el curso de su matrimonio, fundó el monasterio de San Pedro en Bourgueil y la abadía de Maillezais. [4] Emma entonces gobernaba Aquitania como regente de su hijo William V .
