10 de may. de 2024 · In 1902 work began on a new church near the temporary church. A project of William Lygon, 7th Earl Beauchamp, its foundations were laid before the earl entrusted its design to A. Randall Wells, recently clerk of works for the architect William Lethaby at Brockhampton church in Herefordshire.
Hace 5 días · When Hartington commons were inclosed in 1798, the late Earl Beauchamp, then William Lygon, Esq., being impropriator of the great tithes had an allotment in lieu of them, which allotment he afterwards sold to Sir Hugh Bateman, Bart. In right of the rectorial estate Sir Hugh is patron of the Deanery of Hartington.
