  4. 1 de may. de 2024 · Big Joe Williams was one of the legendary bluesmen who kept the blues flame alive in the 1930s and 1940s. He originally recorded Baby – Please Don’t Go in 1935, and it was released by Bluebird Records.

Over a decade later, in 1947, Lightnin’ Hopkins released his own version. This is one of the blues’ most recorded songs, with other versions featuring the work of Big Bill Broonzy and John Lee Hooker.
