In Norway, a cadet is an officer in training at one of the three Norwegian War Academies ("Krigsskole"). Each service branch (Army, Navy, and Air Force) is responsible for its own war academy (i.e. Naval War Academy). In the Philippines, officer candidates are referred to RESCOM , AFPOCS and PCGOBETC students who had baccalaureate degree, foreign service academies and reserve officer pools  undergoing 4 months to 1 year of rigorous military training.
