Náchod (německy Nachod) je město v okrese Náchod v Královéhradeckém kraji v turistickém regionu Kladské pomezí na severovýchodě Čech. Bylo založeno v polovině 13. století rytířem Hronem z rodu Načeradiců. Ten založil hrad na strategickém místě, kde se zemská stezka zužuje do průsmyku zvaného Branka.
